The Appleby Dry Lining Boxes 1 Gang 47 mm is a single-gang dry lining electrical back box made for installation in plasterboard or cavity walls to mount one switch or socket. It’s moulded from flame-retardant thermoplastic, has an internal depth of about 47 mm to give more room for wiring, and comes with adjustable tough yellow nylon lugs that grip the board so the box doesn’t slip into the cavity. A large front flange helps align the box with the faceplate, and it features two side cable knockouts plus a 25 mm base knockout for routing cables. It’s suitable for standard board thicknesses around 6.35 – 15 mm.
